Cunard to bring all four Queens together in Liverpool

A historic Four Queens gathering is set for Liverpool

Published on 23 Apr 2026

Cunard has unveiled exciting plans for a truly remarkable moment in its history, as all four of its iconic ships are set to come together in Liverpool for the very first time.

On 16th May 2028, Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and Queen Anne will unite on the River Mersey, creating a once-in-a-generation spectacle in the city where Cunard’s story first began in 1840.

This will mark the first occasion the full fleet has ever assembled in one place, offering a rare opportunity to witness all four Queens together against the backdrop of Liverpool’s historic waterfront.

The last time Cunard ships gathered on the Mersey was 2015, when the three Queens celebrated the line’s 175th anniversary. That even drew more than a million spectators, and the 2028 gathering is expected to be just as memorable, with Liverpool planning a vibrant waterfront celebration to mark the occasion.

Adding to the significance, Queen Mary 2’s arrival will be particularly historic. The flagship will complete her first-ever transatlantic crossing directly from New York to Liverpool, marking Cunard’s first eastbound arrival into the city from New York in over six decades.

The event will form part of a wider year of celebrations in Liverpool, as the city marks 20 years since being named European Capital of Culture. A programme of cultural, sporting and maritime events is already in the works, with Cunard’s Four Queens gathering set to be a highlight.

Guests will also have the chance to be part of the occasion on specially curated voyages across the fleet. Queen Mary 2 will sail from New York to Liverpool before continuing her signature crossings and seasonal itineraries. Queen Anne will arrive following a Northern Europe season, while Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria will join the gathering as part of their own scenic sailings, allowing guests on board to witness the moment from a unique perspective.

Further details on these special voyages and how to book are expected to be released in due course.
