If you’re planning a Cunard cruise, it’s worth taking a few minutes to understand the Cunard World Club. As Cunard’s loyalty programme, it’s designed to reward guests who return to the cruise line, with benefits that become more rewarding the more you sail.

In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know about the Cunard World Club, including how it works, the different membership tiers, the benefits available at each level and whether it’s worth joining. We’ll also answer some of the most common questions to help you make the most of your membership before your next voyage.

What is Cunard World Club?

The Cunard World Club is Cunard’s loyalty programme, designed to reward guests who sail with the cruise line time and time again. Membership is completely free and, once you’ve completed your first Cunard voyage, you’ll automatically become a member.

As you continue to cruise with Cunard, you’ll progress through the different membership tiers by completing voyages or spending nights at sea. With each new level comes a range of additional benefits, from complimentary internet credit and invitations to exclusive onboard events to priority check-in and savings on selected onboard services.

Unlike some loyalty programmes, the Cunard World Club rewards you based on whichever milestone you reach first: the number of voyages you’ve completed or the number of nights you’ve spent onboard. This means guests who enjoy longer voyages can progress through the tiers just as quickly as those who take several shorter cruises.

Whether you’re planning your very first Cunard voyage or you’ve already sailed with the cruise line before, understanding how the Cunard World Club works can help you make the most of your membership every time you travel.

How does Cunard World Club work?

One of the best things about the Cunard World Club is how straightforward it is. There’s no joining fee and no separate application process. Once you’ve completed your first Cunard voyage, you’ll automatically become a Silver member and begin your loyalty journey.

As you continue to sail with Cunard, you’ll move through the membership tiers by either completing more voyages or spending more nights at sea. Your membership level is based on whichever milestone you reach first, so whether you prefer several shorter cruises or fewer, longer voyages, you’ll continue to work towards the next tier.

It’s worth remembering that new benefits don’t become available during a cruise. To receive the benefits associated with a higher membership tier, you’ll need to have completed the required voyages or nights before your next sailing begins.

You can view your membership details by logging into your Cunard account, where you’ll be able to see your current tier, sailing history and loyalty information. If you’re eligible for Cunard World Club member savings, you’ll also need to be a member at the time you make your booking to take advantage of those offers.

The more you sail with Cunard, the more rewarding your membership becomes. From your second voyage onwards, you’ll begin unlocking additional benefits that recognise your loyalty and enhance future cruises.

Cunard World Club loyalty tiers explained

As you continue to sail with Cunard, you’ll progress through the four membership tiers of the Cunard World Club.

Unlike many loyalty programmes, Cunard recognises both the number of voyages you’ve completed and the number of nights you’ve spent at sea. You’ll move up to the next tier as soon as you reach either qualifying milestone, whichever comes first.

What are the Cunard World Club membership tiers? Here’s a quick overview:

  • Silver: Awarded after your first completed Cunard voyage.
  • Gold: Two voyages or 20 nights at sea.
  • Platinum: Seven voyages or 70 nights at sea.
  • Diamond: Fifteen voyages or 150 nights at sea.

The higher your membership tier, the more benefits you’ll receive. Next, we’ll take a closer look at the rewards available at each level, helping you understand exactly what you can expect as your Cunard World Club membership grows.

Is the Cunard loyalty programme worth it?

For many guests, the Cunard World Club is an added benefit rather than the main reason for choosing a Cunard cruise.

You don’t need to be a member to enjoy everything Cunard has to offer. However, if you find yourself returning to the cruise line, the rewards build naturally over time. From complimentary internet credit and priority check-in to exclusive onboard events and member savings, it’s Cunard’s way of recognising your loyalty.

That said, the real value comes when you look at it alongside the wider picture.

Loyalty that rewards you in more ways than one

When you book your Cunard cruise with ROL Cruise, you’re not only working towards your next Cunard World Club tier; you’ll also earn Cruise Miles® at the same time. That means:

  • Cunard World Club rewards your loyalty to Cunard
  • Cruise Miles rewards you for booking with ROL Cruise

Over time, you can enjoy the onboard benefits that come with progressing through the Cunard World Club, while also building up Cruise Miles to redeem against future holidays.

So, is it worth joining?

If you think there’s a good chance you’ll sail with Cunard again, the answer is yes. Membership is free, automatic after your first completed voyage and gives you access to benefits that become more rewarding the more you cruise.

When combined with the added value of Cruise Miles, it’s an easy way to make every Cunard holiday work a little harder for your next one. Rather than chasing the highest membership tier, simply enjoy your time at sea, knowing each voyage brings you one step closer to additional rewards.
